MISSION STATEMENT

To provide loving assistance to people seeking to build greater spiritual confidence and develop a more conscious oneness with God, and to connect them with resources that can support this process.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

The Mentoring Ministries at The Soul Esteem Center provide its spiritual family and the community at large with spiritual support in time of decision, need or crisis. This support is offered in a confidential, nonjudgmental atmosphere of unconditional love. The Mentoring Ministries facilitates and empowers individuals in healing their lives and building spiritual confidence. The spiritual mentors who are part of this trained and well-prepared staff also comprise the Soul Esteem Center's Spiritual Council an advisory team for leadership excellence.

Dear Friends and Spiritual Family:

It is truly a joy to offer a place where people can feel cared about. The Soul-Esteem Center is just such a place. Prayer support, hospital visits, spiritual counseling and a sense of family support are just a few of the services provided through the Mentoring Ministries here at the SEC. It's important for us to realize how valuable we are to each other as we share our triumphs and our difficulties, and to remember that when one of us heals, the energy touches all of us. I invite you to take advantage of the healing ministry that is available to you through the Mentoring Programs. Your Spiritual Council is ready and willing to be of service to you and your loved ones.

SPIRITUAL MENTORING

The Spiritual Mentoring Program is designed to assist you in clarification of life's challenges and provides you with a spiritual perspective. You will be teamed up with a trained mentor who can help you explore options and facilitate the accessing of your own inner wisdom. Our mentors offer wholesome guidance, encouragement, prayer support and upliftment to those in time of need, decision or crisis. Our spiritual mentors offer this short-term service on a love-offering basis.
This is not a substitute for ongoing psycho-spiritual counseling or therapy.

COUNSELING SERVICES

Certain of our trained spiritual mentors are ready to provide paid professional counseling to individuals, couples and families
who are seeking to develop an understanding of personal growth issues, find direction in their lives and build spiritual confidence. Counseling blends principles from psychology and spirituality to facilitate healing and restore wholeness in body, mind and spirit. The professional fee for services is set by the individual counselor and is often covered by your insurance carrier. For a referral, call (314) 275-SOUL

LISTEN AND PRAY

Trained spiritual mentor volunteers are available to meet with you after The Gathering on Sunday mornings, either in the minister's office or in the auditorium, for up to 15 minute sessions. A mentor volunteer can help you gain a spiritual perspective on the challenges in your life and offer a safe and confidential setting for you to share your concern. They also offer prayer support and references to resources at the SEC and in the community. Look for available mentor volunteers at the Information Table.

HOSPITAL/HOME MINISTRY

Trained volunteers offer prayer and/or healing hands with visits to those who are hospitalized or homebound.

PRAYER MINISTRY

By turning in a prayer request you enlist the support of a team who knows the spiritual truth for you and
acknowledges God's power and presence in all aspects of life.
You will receive our confidential prayer support on this concern for one week.
Simply state your request for yourself or others. Forms are available on the Information Tables in the lobby.
Place your request in the labeled prayer box or give it to an usher.

WEDDINGS AND BAPTISMS

For information about weddings or baptisms, call the SEC office at (314) 275-SOUL.
You will be put in touch with an SEC minister and discuss fees and arrangements directly with that person.

MEMORIALS AND FUNERALS

Compassionate support and assistance is offered during your family's need by experienced ministers in uniquely personal ways to remember the life of your loved one. There is no set fee for services. Voluntary contributions are gratefully accepted.
